Over in South Minneapolis a new energy and musical style is beginning to emerge at local house parties and bars under the heading "Wag." People have took to using the term to describe high energy rap dance parties and performances and also as a unifying term for the brand of hip hop being created in South Minneapolis. On May 14th, Illuminous 3 and TUSS (formerly "The Usual Suspects") the two most prominent groups who have helped cultivate this style and sound will be performing together in a joint-set to display the style and energy. Opening the night will be fellow Southside artist Yakub, who recently produced a song for Ghostface Killah of the Wu-Tang clan and Djing throughout the evening will be the Turnt Up! Djs: Noam the Drummer, Willie Shu and Gabe Garcia. The show will also be hosted by Benzilla of Fam Feud and in addition there will be live artists painting, giveaways and special guests!
